Triana's series of books represent a complete break from her previous artistic production, both stylistically and conceptually. The artist is not only working in an entirely new medium, but philosophically she has shifted her focus from the theme of loss to that of recovery. The biblical text, The Book of Revelations is used as a means for recuperating her past and/or origins, which symbolically represents her childhood memories. In this sense, Triana's books may be viewed as spiritual and emotional healing process in which the act of revelation signifies the recovery of origins, crucial to the reconstruction of a cultural, national and personal identity.
