2000 - A Simple Yantra Acrylic, a button, a photo, on linen 60" x 40"
Triana is very different from so many artists in their creative maturity, where maturity becomes synonymous with content stagnation and preponderance. Instead the passion and the compulsive energy of youth prevail. We believe that in order to place the foundations of the artist paintings, drawing (or installation), all too frequently considered "excorcisms of exile's suffering", a larger context should be taken into account; a reaction to the world in general and it's problemas in particular. There is an intimate conviction in arts power to heal, to overcome, and go beyond Munchs's scream. A language is elaborated with fervor and enthusiasm, in total liberty.
